Hunmanby is an old but still developing village. It has a number of useful shops – a delicatessen, a green grocer, a baker, a newsagents, fish & chip shops, a number of pubs and a Convenience store which stays open until 10pm.
Hunmanby is ideally placed for visiting both the coast and the countryside.There are many attractions close by, for instance the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs and Filey dams; Burton Agnes Hall; Flamborough Head; Sledmere House; the North Yorks Moors Railway; the walled garden at Scampton; the beautiful Roman city of York; Heartbeat Country;
the beautiful beaches of Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington; Whitby and much, much, more.
There are also some excellent golf courses nearby. Apart from the new nine hole course at Hunmanby, there is the excellent Brid Links, the famous Ganton Course which held the Walker Cup in recent times and numerous other courses all the way up the East Coast from Bridlington up to Whitby.
